PSNI arrests mother of baby found dead in Co FermanaghPSNI arrests mother of baby found dead in Co Fermanagh
Wednesday, 1st March 2006

Police in the North have arrested the mother of a baby boy found dead in Co Fermanagh last week.

Few details of the case have been disclosed, but the PSNI confirmed today that it was treating the baby's death as murder.

The child's body was found in Irvinestown last Thursday following what police have described as a suspected domestic incident.

The investigation into the death has been focusing on a new housing development in the Spruce Hill area of the town.

The dead boy's mother is believed to have recently moved in to a house on the estate.

Detectives investigating the case have said they want to speak to anyone who visited Spruce Hill between Monday and Thursday of last week, particularly the driver of a dark blue car, possibly a Ford.
