Two stations being demolished, two retainedTwo stations being demolished, two retained
Monday, 23rd January 2006

Work has begun on the demolition of two rural police stations in the county, with the work expected to take several months to complete. The stations at Roslea and Kinawley, on the Fermanagh/Monaghan border, are the first to be removed, and their demolition will be followed by that of a number of others in the county including Ballinamallard, Derrygonnelly, Lisbellaw and Tempo. The demolition orders were approved by the Policing Board last September. However two others, in Newtownbutler and Irvinestown, are to be retained.
