Quick recovery for Enniskillen boyQuick recovery for Enniskillen boy
Tuesday, 28th June 2005

Darragh Somers, the five-year-old boy from Enniskillen, was able to leave the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children last week. The young boy was struck by a stray bullet in the schoolyard of Mullinaskea Primary School two months ago and has undergone two lengthy operations since. The medical staff is amazed by his quick recovery. Darragh's father, Gerald, is grateful to all hospital staff, including the cleaners, who also kept the young patient happy. Meanwhile, PSNI officers have still not identified the .22 rifle with which the boy was wounded.
