French ambience for riversideFrench ambience for riverside
Monday, 14th February 2005

Work began last week on a £1.3m project that will enhance one of Enniskillen's most famous thoroughfares. Chairman of Fermanagh District Council Gerry McHugh was there to inspect the plans for the new Queen Elizabeth Road Boulevard which include the removal of the concrete fence, removing the planters and shrubbery between the road and the water's edge and the widening of the pedestrian way. The scheme, which will extend from the ramp at the junction of Belmore Street and East Bridge Street to the area close to the police station car park, is the first part of the regeneration of this part of town.
